The plaintiffs, Robert Mulder and Leonard Tanner, brought suit against the defendants for damages for personal injuries sustained in a motor vehicle collision on March 6, 1966. The *419plaintiffs were riding as passengers in a motor vehicle operated by the defendant Robert A. Smith and owned by the defendant Barberino Rental Corporation, when the vehicle collided with a car owned and operated by the defendant Seymour Bayuk.
