Charles McGill, John Hartsel, Patrick Murray a/k/a James Murphey, and Arthur DesRoches appeal their convictions on drug trafficking charges.1 The United States *226appeals the judgments of acquittal granted by the district court to Cori DesRoches and Gary Merritt following a jury verdict of guilty as charged on all counts. The government’s appeal was argued separately; however, the appeals are consolidated for the purposes of this opinion.
