This case reveals once more, as the Second Circuit recently described it, “the exceptionally poor quality of representation often provided by attorneys retained by aliens as they attempt to negotiate the complexities of our immigration law.” United States v. Cerna, 603 F.3d 32, 35-36 (2d Cir.2010).
