OPINION
COLE, Chief Judge.
Steven Broughton attempted to commit suicide while' incarcerated at the Warren County Jail in Lebanon, Ohio. Although he was rescued by corrections officers, Broughton filed suit under 42 U.S.C. § 1983 claiming that Warren County, Premier Health Care Services, Inc., and various officials violated his right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment. See Estelle v. Gamble, 429 U.S. 97, 97 S.Ct. 285, 50 L.Ed.2d 251 (1976). The district court entered summary judgment for the defendants.
