On December 29, 1988, Glenda Ellington (plaintiff), as special administratrix of the estate of Darlene Riddle (decedent), filed suit against Doctor Yilmaz Bilsel (defendant) in the circuit court of St. Clair County pursuant to the Wrongful Death and Survival Acts (Ill.
