Defendant appeals from judgment for plaintiff, based on a jury verdict in a negligence action. Defendant contends that the court erred in denying his motions for directed verdict and. for judgment non obstante veredicto. ,

Plaintiff worked on a part-time basis for defendant on his truck farm. He had been painting defendant’s house. For that he used a short, homemade ladder of defendant.
