OPINION
ERVIN, Circuit Judge:
Linwood Douglas Thorne, who pled guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine, raises several issues on direct appeal. We find merit in Thorne’s first argument — that the trial court failed to comply with Rule 11 of the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure by neglecting to inform Thorne of the maximum sentence to which he was subject under the terms of his plea agreement — and therefore need not address his other claims.
