After a hearing on the defendant’s pretrial motion, a judge of the District Court Department ordered the suppression of a firearm recovered from the defendant’s automobile at the time of his arrest for driving with a suspended license.1 A *154single justice of the Supreme Judicial Court granted the Commonwealth’s request for interlocutory review. We reverse and remand the case for further proceedings in the District Court.
