This was an action of debt, brought by the Flat Top Grocery Company, a corporation, in the circuit court of Mercer County, against the firm of William W. McClaugherty & Co., on a note for two hundred and forty-four dollars, described in the declaration. Plaintiff filed with its declaration the affidavit of George R. Dabney, .the agent, secretary, and treasurer of plaintiff, under section 46, chapter 125, Code.
