Appeal from a judgment of the County Court of Columbia County (Leaman, J.), rendered December 5, 1984, convicting defendant upon his plea of guilty of the crime of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree.

Members of the Columbia County Sheriffs Department conducted a search of defendant’s residence on March 17, 1983 pursuant to a search warrant issued that date by Town of Ghent Justice George Dixon.
