This is an appeal from a judgment of conviction for rape following a jury trial. Walter Chapman was sentenced to an aggregate term of fifteen years, with five years fixed, and the charge of using a firearm in the commission of the rape was dismissed on a defense motion. Chapman claims ineffective assistance of counsel, asserting that his counsel’s performance at trial showed a lack of experience and inadequate pretrial preparation.
