Defendant Dennis Boyd appeals his juiy convictions of two counts of attempted second-degree murder, K.S.A. 21-3402 and K.S.A. 1992 Supp. 21-3301, and one count of battery, K.S.A. 21-3412. The Court of Appeals in an unpublished opinion filed July 22, 1994, reversed the convictions and remanded the *83case for a new trial based on the trial court’s failure to provide a sufficient response to requests by the jury for witness testimony.
