WADDILE, Circuit Judge.

This is an action of debt, brought by the plaintiff in.error against the defendant in error, to recover an indebtedness of $22,649.25, with interest, paid by plaintiff in error to R. C. Hoffman & Co., Inc., being the amount of a judgment of the superior court of Baltimore city against the Chicago Bonding & Insurance Company, a body corporate, of which the plaintiff in error was the successor, and which plaintiff in error seeks to recover from the defendant in error in this suit brought on a special bond of indemnity entered into by the defendant, in which it obligated…
