MEMORANDUM AND ORDER

TORRES, District Judge.

The government has moved to forfeit eighty-three (83) bars of gold pursuant to a criminal forfeiture judgment against Stephen A. Saccoccia. For reasons hereinafter stated, the government’s motion is granted.

Background

In 1993, Saccoccia was convicted of RICO conspiracy and various money laundering offenses arising out of a scheme to launder money obtained from illegal drug trafficking.
