The defendant was charged with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of intoxicating liquor in violation of § 14-227 of the General Statutes. On January 17, 1961, the defendant was found guilty in a trial to the court. On that day, the court imposed a fine, which was paid by the defendant on the same day. On January 31, 1961, the defendant appealed, requesting a review of the trial court's conclusions upon the facts.
