OPINION
ANDERSON, Justice.
In this post-conviction proceeding the sole issue before this Court is whether the petitioner, Vernon Cooper, was denied his right under the United States Constitution to the effective assistance of counsel on direct appeal to this Court. After an evi-dentiary hearing, the trial court found no merit to the petitioner’s claim. We affirm the judgment of the trial court.
