On October 8, 1996, defendant, Pablo Brea and Norberto Peets were arraigned on a felony complaint charging them with attempted murder in the first and second degrees, attempted robbery in the first degree and other related charges with respect to an incident that occurred on September 29, 1996 (hereinafter the September attempted murder).
