This is a rate case. On the 5th day of October, 1956, the Port Smith Gas Corporation (the Gas Company) filed an application for a change of rates for a supply of gas to industrial consumers in the city of Port Smith, the surrounding area and other communities. The Gas Company sought to increase the price from 16.38 cents per Mcf to 20.62 cents. After extensive hearings the Commission granted the requested new schedule of rates on May 17,1957.
