The plaintiff in this action, although not a resident, is a taxpayer of the city of Syracuse, assessed for purposes of taxation in said city upon real estate owned by him in an amount exceeding $1,000. The city of Syracuse is a municipal corporation of the State of Eew York, being a city of the second class. The Gamewell Fire Alarm Telegraph Company is a corporation engaged in the business of manufacturing and installing fire alarm telegraph systems.
