This matter came on to be heard upon Aviation Machinist’s Mate Airman Gregar C. Thomas’ Petition for Extraordinary Relief in the Nature of a Writ of Mandamus and an Order to Show Cause issued by this Court on March 16, 1988. In summary, petitioner was extended beyond his normal term of service for the purpose of investigating allegations of violations of the Uniform Code of Military Justice.
