Appellant was indicted and convicted of illegally selling a controlled substance, methaqualone, in violation of § 20-2-70, Code of Alabama 1975. An Etowah County Circuit judge sentenced the appellant to 25 years imprisonment.

The State's first witness was Sheila Mitchell, the buyer of the drugs. Ms. Mitchell testified that she wished to buy some "quaaludes" from appellant for a friend. On the morning of February 17, 1981, Ms. Mitchell drove to a rural grocery store and spotted appellant's car. She left her car and got into appellant's car on the passenger's side.
