In this case there was a verdict returned finding the defendant guilty and assessing the plaintiff’s damages at the sum of $25,000. Judgment was entered on the verdict and the defendant has appealed.
The action was brought under the Federal Employers’ Liability Act, Cahill’s St. ch. 114, If 321 et seq., to recover damages for the wrongful death of Mike Norkevich, who was killed while inspecting air brakes on one of the defendant’s trains in its Corwith yards, in Chicago.
