OPINION

BOOCHEVER, Justice.

In October of 1967, City Electric contracted to supply to Golden Valley all labor and equipment necessary to convert Golden Valley’s electric transmission system from single phase to three phase. Robert A. Smith, an employee of City Electric, was injured when he fell from a power pole owned by Golden Valley. Smith recovered workmen’s compensation benefits from City Electric and brought suit against Golden Valley alleging that Golden Valley was negligent in installing the pole and that the negligence proximately caused his injuries.
