This is a controversy involving the legality of listing and assessing on the land boob of Marion county, for purposes of taxation, certain oil and other mineral leases of the South Penn Oil Company, involving the right of the county to levy taxes, as well as relating to the public revenue. The leases seem to be one hundred and more in number, of lands lying in Marion and Wetzel counties, and perhaps-in other counties.
