This is an original proceeding in habeas corpus brought by Fred Hollis, of Saline county, against J. B. Archer, probation officer of that county, and M. C. Brownell, of the same ■county, for the liberty and the care and custody of Raymond Edward Hollis, a minor son of the petitioner, also a resident of Saline county and between four and five years of age.
