This is an appeal by defendants from a judgment for plaintiff in the sum of $47,000 rendered upon a jury verdict in a personal injury action in the district court of Blaine County.

Plaintiff is Robert Rick D’Hoodge, a twenty-year old ranch hand employed by defendants, who sustained severe burns in the course of his employment while cleaning the engine block on a tractor. He was using a wall paper brush and a pail of gasoline furnished by his employer to accomplish this job when a fire suddenly broke out.
