OPINION

McHUGH, Judge:

{1 Defendant Brian K. Miller challenges the trial court's order awarding restitution to Safeco Insurance Company (Safeco). We reverse.

BACKGROUND

T2 On October 31, 2008, Miller drove his vehicle through a red light and broadsided the vehicle of Sharane Haymond, who was attempting a left turn in the intersection. The collision severely injured Ms. Haymond and killed her seven-year-old daughter, Kar-lee Haymond. The police officers who responded to the accident observed that Miller appeared intoxicated and the officers administered a field sobriety test, which Miller failed.…
