JAMES C. HILL, Circuit Judge:

The International Longshoremen’s Association [ILA] struck appellees’ facilities over a work assignment to competing unions. Claiming a breach of contract, appel-lees sought and obtained a preliminary injunction against the ILA strike pending arbitration of the dispute. See Boys Markets, Inc. v. Retail Clerks Local 770, 398 U.S. 235, 90 S.Ct. 1583, 26 L.Ed.2d 199 (1970). Arbitration thereupon was had, and the arbiters found in ILA’s favor. Appel-lees then again took the offensive, suing anew to vacate the arbitral award, on various grounds, and filing unfair labor…
