Appeal from the Court of Chancery. The bill in this case was filed on the 19th June 1833, by Mam If John Miller, praying subpoena against Richard Lockerman and wife, and the executors of J. T. Chase. The bill alleged that J. T. C. in his life time, executed a single bill or promissory note, to a certain R. L.jr., in trust for his mother Frances T. Loekerman, whereby he promised to pay $1000, with interest thereon.

The personal estate of the testator not being sufficient to pay his debts, and the specific legacies bequeathed by his will, the question arises, in what manner the deficiency is to be supplied, or upon what principles, contribution is to be made by th^se who have been the objects of his bounty in the disposition or his property.
