In the early part of August, 1901, plaintiff applied to the construction foreman of defendant for a *144position to do carpenter work. He was employed, and at the time of his employment was informed by tbe foreman that be might be required to do some other work than carpentering in connection with the bridge and building construction. He was put to work on the baggage room of defendant’s depot in Colorado Springs, which was then in course of construction. It appears that the walls of this building were constructed of stone and that the stone masons had prepared the openings which were to be used…
