On their way to search appellant Roland Henry’s apartment for an escaped fugitive believed to be hiding there, police officers spotted Henry sitting in a parked car near his residence. As the officers approached the car, which had been driven by Jacqueline Barnes Smith1 and in which Henry was a passenger, two of them noticed appellant move toward and then back from the glove compartment.
