Brown, J.

Kenneth Stephens appeals the trial court’s order denying his motion for directed verdict (judgment as a matter of law) in his false imprisonment suit against the State of Washington. He contends the court *555erred in denying his motion and additionally contends the evidence does not support the verdict. We disagree with Mr. Stephens’ contentions and affirm.
