The appellant was convicted in police court on a charge of shoplifting. She appealed to the supe rior court where a jury in a trial de novo returned a verdict of guilty on three counts. She was sentenced to 15 days in jail, with 10 days of the sentence suspended. She is represented in this court, as she was at the trial level, by court-appointed counsel, who has conducted her defense with commendable diligence and thoroughness.
