COUNTISS, Justice.

Appellant was convicted of aggravated assault, Tex.Penal Code Ann. § 22.02 (Ver*351non Supp.1986), and assessed a fine of $5,000 and ten (10) years confinement in the penitentiary. In this Court, he contends (1) he was denied effective assistance of counsel under the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments of the United States Constitution; and (2) the trial court erred in admitting his confession into evidence. We affirm.
