Justice GRANT.

Nature of the Case

Luis Humberto Galvan, alias Abel Lopez, was charged with the felony offense of bail jumping. Galvan entered a plea of not guilty, and the case was tried before a jury. The jury found Galvan guilty, and the court assessed his punishment at confinement for sixty years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
