On April 7, 1911, Court of Honor, a beneficiary society, issued its certificate to Lucille Hermann, providing for the payment of $1,000 to her husband, William Hermann, upon satisfactory proofs of her death. She died on May 10,1912. Proofs of death were furnished and under date of June 20, 1912, the society refused to pay the claim upon this certificate on account of misrepresentations in the application.
