Robert and Kay Canberg sued the City of Toccoa for failing to respond to a fire that completely destroyed their home. The City sought summary judgment on the Canbergs’ claims for negligent infliction of emotional distress, intentional infliction of emotional distress and loss of consortium. The trial court granted the City’s motion and dismissed those claims. We agree that the City was entitled to summary judgment on the Canbergs’ claim for negligent infliction of emotional distress and affirm that ruling.
