Ray, Judge.
Edward Coleman was tried by a DeKalb County jury and convicted on August 5,2009, of criminal attempt to commit burglary.1 He filed a motion for new trial on general grounds in September 2009. On April 1, 2011, Coleman filed an amended motion for new trial, in which he claimed, among other things, that the indictment was defective and that his trial counsel rendered ineffective assistance of counsel by failing to file a demurrer to the indictment.
