This is an appeal from the dismissal of a contract action for lack of in personam jurisdiction.
The plaintiff, a Michigan steel service center, approached the defendant, an Oklahoma pipe fabricator, with an offer to sell it approximately $300,000 worth of steel coils. The defendant accepted the offer by telephone, following negotiations conducted via telephone and facsimile machine. Purchase orders for the coils were sent to the plaintiff in Michigan.
