On the 30th day of October,. 1915, Fred King was tried and convicted in the circuit court of Colbert county upon a charge of grand larceny, and was duly sentenced to imprisonment in the penitentiary for a term of 13 months. In the same court and on the same day the defendant was also tried and convicted upon a charge of petit larceny, and upon his failure to pay the fine and cost in said case was duly sentenced to hard labor for the county for a term of 10 days to pay the fine and an additional term of 49 days to pay the cost at the rate of 75 cents per day, the judgment of the court…
