This was an action brought by respondents against appellants to recover the contract price of certain machinery for a steam saw-mill manufactured by them for the appellants.

Substantially, the complaint alleges that, on the twenty-first day of November, 1877, the parties entered into a contract by which respondents agreed to construct for appellants a steam-boiler engine and a quantity of other machinery specified in the contract.
