Supplemental Compensation Plan
The Supplemental Compensation Plan was not a gratuity, as McDermott contends, but rather was a contract from which the employee expected to receive stipulated monetary benefits, while the employer expected to receive the benefits derived from having more loyal and diligent employees, principally an increase in productivity and a reduction in labor turnover.
