The defendant, John Williams, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of four counts of sexual assault in the first degree in violation of General Statutes § 53a-70 (a) (2)1 and four counts of risk of injury to a child in violation of General *451Statutes § 53-21.2 On appeal, the defendant claims that the state failed to present sufficient evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he committed the separate crimes of sexual assault in the first degree by means of (1) cunnilingus and (2) penile and digital penetration of the victim’s vagina.3 The…
