The defendant, Bryan Lindo, appeals from the judgment of conviction, rendered after a jury trial, of murder in violation of General Statutes § 53a-54a (a).1 On appeal, the defendant claims that he was deprived of his rights to due process and a fair trial pursuant to the fourteenth amendment to the United States constitution and article first, § 8, of the constitution of Connecticut because of prosecutorial misconduct during closing argument and cross-examination of him that precluded the jury from giving fair consideration to his affirmative *410defense of extreme emotional…
