Plaintiff brought this action on a policy issued by defendant insurer that covered a rental house that plaintiffs tenants or their associates damaged through the operation of an illegal methamphetamine laboratory. The trial court granted plaintiffs motion for a directed verdict on the issue of coverage for the damage under the policy, made at the conclusion of his own case, but allowed defendant to proceed with its case.
