This case and its companion, Pressley v. Swain, No. 73—1975, also decided today, present the important question whether Congress, by enacting 23 D.C. Code § 110(g) (1973), as part of the District of Columbia Court Reform and Criminal Procedure Act of 1970, eliminated the jurisdiction of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia to entertain post-conviction petitions for writs of habeas corpus brought by individuals convicted in the Superior Court.
