OPINION OF THE COURT
ROSENN, Circuit Judge.
In this case, an alien who was once lawfully admitted to the United States for permanent residence later became subject to an administratively final deportation order. After the entry of this final deportation order, the alien moved to reopen immigration proceedings to obtain discretionary relief from deportation. By statute, such relief is available only to aliens lawfully admitted for permanent residence.
