NOBLE, Chief Justice.
The King of Spain made a community land grant to the inhabitants and settlers within the boundaries of the Atrisco Grant. After the treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, the Congress of the United States recognized the validity of the grant by the former .sovereign and issued its patent to the Town of Atrisco.
