This is an appeal from a decision of the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York (Roy Babitt, J.) disposing of two claims by Equitable Life Assurance Society of the United States and John Hancock Mutual Life Insurance Company (sometimes hereinafter collectively referred to as “claimants”) against the estate of United Merchants and Manufacturers, Inc.
