KEARSE, Circuit Judge:
Defendant Jose Antonio Giraldo appeals from a judgment of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, entered after a jury trial before Kevin Thomas Duffy, Judge, convicting him of conspiring to distribute cocaine and to possess cocaine with intent to distribute it, in violation of 21 U.S.C. § 846 (1982), and of attempting to distribute cocaine, in violation of 21 U.S.C. §§ 812, 841(a)(1), and 846 (1982), of 21 U.S.C. § 841(b)(1)(A) (1982), as amended, Oct. 12, 1984, Pub.L. 98-473, tit. II, § 502, 98 Stat. 2068, and of 18 U.S.C. § 2 (1982).…
